In English, we use different types of "punctuations" as follows:
在英文裡面有不同的標點符號:

(1) Full-stop　(句號) - " . "
' Y- J0 v6 O" Y2 lWe put "full-stop" at the end of a sentence.
我們會在句子的最尾加上句號。
  M. w3 G* `- H7 v" XWe may also put "full-stop" after specific words like "Mr.", "Mrs." or "Dr."
0 ]. E- W& p, S) F& o* G我們也可在特定的名稱後加上句號。

(2) Comma　(逗號) - " , "
. s6 T- n4 e% [1 b& [/ ]We put "comma" in a sentence to separate different parts of it.
我們會在句子中間用逗號把不同部份分開。

We put "question mark" at the end of a question.
我們會在問題句的最後加上問號。

  \( B3 [; z+ I. QWe put "exclamation mark" at the end of a sentence to emphasize the meanings.

(5) Inverted commas　(引號) - " 　　"  or　'　　'
We use "inverted commas" to quote specific words spoken by someone.

(7) Colon　(冒號) - " : "

(8) Semi-colon　(分號) - " ; "
We can use "semi-colon" to separate two short sentences which have similar meanings.

(9) Dash　(破折號) - " - "
